Project Overview
FILTH + FORTUNE — Visual Identity / Creative Direction / Multi-Platform System
Context
Filth + Fortune is a study in Visual Dualism — a luxury streetwear identity built on the edge between high-society refinement and industrial rawness. The objective was to create a brand architecture that felt simultaneously classic and futuristic, pairing clinical, minimalist layouts with aggressive, visceral iconography.
Concept
The identity is anchored by a high-contrast typographic system and a central "dagger-skull" totem. This mark acts as a recurring sentinel across the brand ecosystem, appearing in various states: from delicate letterpress on business cards to raw, industrial textures on oversized apparel. The brand exists in the tension between the "Filth" of the industrial and the "Fortune" of the luxurious.
Technical Execution
Iconographic Totem: Development of the signature dagger-skull — a precision-engineered symbol of the brand’s "Rotten Lifestyle" philosophy.
Monochromatic Hierarchy: A strict adherence to a grayscale palette, utilizing negative space to elevate biological and mechanical textures.
Materiality & Tactility: The design system was stress-tested across physical touchpoints, including embossed black-on-black packaging, heavy-stock letterpress stationery, and industrial-grade garment hardware.
Cinematic Interface: A digital storefront designed as a curated gallery, where the aggressive hero imagery is balanced by a disciplined, "corporate-clean" navigation system.
Output
Visual Identity: Primary wordmark, secondary industrial stencils, and the "Dagger" totem.
Spatial Packaging: Premium matte-black unboxing experience with spot-UV detailing.
Tactile Collateral: A comprehensive stationery suite including waxed-seal envelopes and tri-state swing tags.
Digital Architecture: A minimalist e-commerce platform prioritizing high-fidelity product cinematography.
Result
To build a world for Filth + Fortune that is as visceral as it is disciplined. Designed to operate as a benchmark in Subversive Luxury, proving that a brand can be raw, dark, and industrial without sacrificing the precision of high-end design.
